DARKSUN - New album & tour

Spain's DARKSUN have released their new album, "Tocar El Sol" on April 5, 2010 through FC Metal Recordings. This album features the recording debuts of new members Jose Ojeda (drums) and Adrian Huelga (bass), and is once again produced by vocalist Dani G. The lineup is completed by guitarists David Figueiras and Tino Hevia.

DARKSUN will be performing at the Easter Metal Fest on April 4, 2010 at La Riviera in Madrid, Spain. KAMELOT will be headlining, with ADAGIO and HEAVENWOOD also on the bill.

DARKSUN have released their new album, "Libera Me," through FC Metal/Avispa Music. "Libera Me" is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed "The Dark Side" release.

Darksun recorded a video for the track "Miedo", which was produced and directed by Jacinto Hinojal/Eyes Only (who worked on Rage´s DVD, "Full Moon in St. Petersburg 2007"). The "Miedo" video can be viewed at this location: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gy_vl-ck-LM

"Libera Me" was produced and engineered by vocalist Dani G. All lead guitars on "Libera Me" were played by new member David Figueiras, with both David and Tino Hevia laying down the rhythm guitar tracks (Dani is no longer playing guitar in the band, as he is now solely concentrating his efforts on singing).

The Drum tracks on "Libera Me" were performed by Dani Cabal, whom the band re-enlisted to record the new album (he played on Darksun's debut album, "El Legado"). The band's new drummer is Jose Ojeda, an exceptional talent who combines the technical style of Rafael Yugueros (drummer on "The Dark Side"), with the heaviness and power of Dani Cabal.

Darksun is completed by founding member Pedro Junquera on bass, and new keyboardist Ana Fernández.

"Libera Me" has been released with multi-media extras, including the "Miedo" music video. As on "The Dark Side," the album features excellent cover and booklet artwork by Daniel Alonso (Warcry, Hard Spirit).

DARKSUN Working On New Album

Darksun have begun working on their new album, which will be released in September 2008.

Guitar and drum tracks have already been recorded, with bass and vocals to follow.

As with Darksun's last release, "El Lado Oscuro" ("The Dark Side"), there will be separate Spanish and English versions of the album.

DARKSUN recording new album

DARKSUN are currently working on their new album, the follow-up to their critically acclaimed "The Dark Side" release.

Guitar tracks are now being recorded, with newest member DAVID FIGUEIRAS handling all lead guitar duties, and David and TINO HEVIA laying down the rhythm guitar tracks.

Vocalist DANI GONZALEZ is producing/engineering the sessions. Dani is no longer playing guitar in the band, as he is now solely concentrating his efforts on singing.

DARKSUN - The Dark Side: Release date of September 29, 2007

DARKSUN - The Dark Side album will be released in Europe on September 29, 2007.

The album will be packaged as a limited edition CDDVD. The DVD will feature a making-of-album documentary, live footage, song video and more!

"The Dark Side" was mixed by Dennis Ward (Angra, Silent Force, Adagio, Symphorce), with the vocals produced by Lars Ratz (Metalium). The album features guest singer Peavy Wagner of RAGE on the song "Prisoners Of Fate." (DARKSUN also collaborated with RAGE on their "Speak Of The Dead" album, creating a Spanish version of the song "Full Moon" entitled "La Luna Reine," which appeared as a bonus track).

With influences including BLIND GUARDIAN, ANGRA, and HELLOWEEN, DARKSUN have written an album in "The Dark Side" that the aforementioned heavy metal legends would be proud to call their own. The album will feature 11 tracks, including "Slaves Of Fear," "Echoes Of The Past," and "Confrontation."
